I mostly photograph nature and my main subject of interest are birds and especially bird of prey.  I really enjoy raptor photography,  much more than any other type of bird photography. One of the first lessons bird photographers learn is that you must get close to your subject in order to get good detail,  and getting close usually ain’t easy! Raptors are even tougher to get close to, since most of them (especially adults) do not like people and their presence.

Although I love photograph birds, I’ve never been and probably never will be a real twitcher / birder. I want a god picture of the bird, not only see or hear it from a long distance. I rader prefer a nice photo of a very common bird above a bad photo of an extremely rare bird.
